Larry E. Walker, 77, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson and the Rev. Christopher Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends from, 2 PM until 4 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Walker was born May 14, 1947, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Robert Marion “Bob” & Mary Ruth Day Walker. Mr. Walker had been a farmer since he was 16 years. old. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glenda S. Walker of Fitzgerald; a son, Ray Walker & Leigh; grandchildren: Dylan Walker and Triston Walker & Kaitlyn; two great-grandsons: Caleb Walker and Stetson Walker, who is on the way; and two sisters: Dianne Bullard of Fitzgerald and Barbara Merritt of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Johnny Bullard and Randy Merritt.
