Devoted grandfather of JB, Jacquelynne, Daneen, Greg, Kendra, Maddison, Kerigan, Shannon, Liam, Brittany, Hailey and Kylee and many nieces and nephews. Brother of Henry J. “Joey” Zarella of North Reading.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 10:30 am. Rev. William McCoy will officiate. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Obituary
John B. Mulvey, Jr. died Sunday afternoon at his home following a brief illness. He was born, raised and educated in Uphams Corner a section of Dorchester, a son of the late John B.and Lillian A. (McKechnie) Mulvey and was raised by the late Henry J. Zarella since the age of 10. He had been a Brockton resident since1971. Mr. Mulvey had been a truck driver with several transportation firms for 50 years, most recently with Freeman Decorating Company in Braintree for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local # 82 for 50 years and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bonita Springs, Florida where he and his wife spent the winters in their home in Citrus Park. Mr. Mulvey enjoyed many hours on his boat on Marina Bay in Quincy and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine M. (Baxter) Mulvey, his children John B. Mulvey, III and Geraldine M. Mulvey Murphy both of New Hampshire,Greg H. Mulvey, William A. Mulvey and Leo M. Mulvey all of Brockton, 12 grandchildren, JB, Jacquelynne, Daneen, Greg, Kendra, Maddison, Kerigan, Shannon, Liam, Brittany, Hailey and Kylee, many nieces and nephews and a brother Henry J. “Joey” Zarella of North Reading.
