WORCESTER-Rodney W. Fenderson, 85, of 115 Paine Street died Wednesday, August 9th at home. His wife of 60 years, Marjorie G. (Willey) Fenderson died in 2003. He leaves three sons, Wayne R., Gregory L. and Guy M. Fenderson all of Worcester; 2 brothers, Randolf L. Fenderson of Dunnellon, FL and Wallace Fenderson of Lewiston, ME; a sister, Anita Fenderson of Hartland, ME; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Two sons, Roger A. and Gary L. Fenderson, a brother, Dwayne Fenderson, and a sister, Pedita Dickinson, predeceased him.
He was born in Ashland, Maine the son of Wallace and Esther (Whitney) Fenderson. Mr. Fenderson had been a machinist for 35 years retiring from Thermal Electron Web Systems and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He enjoyed fishing and horseshoes.
The funeral is Monday, August 14th with a service at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, August 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
