Helder Danilo Carvalho, 7, of New Bedford died Thursday August 29, 2002 at home after a brief illness. He was the son of Helena Carvalho of New Bedford and Antonio Almeida of Praia, Cape Verde.
Helder was born in Praia, and lived in New Bedford for the past 2 years. He was a student at the Alfred J. Gomes School in New Bedford.
Survivors include parents; his stepfather, Jose Oliveira of New Bedford; a sister, Djelissa Almeida of New Bedford; and 2 brothers, Helmer Oliveira and Helber Oliveira, both of New Bedford.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 31, 2002 at 9 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday August 30, 2002 from 7-9 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
