Lawrence, MA – Doris J. (Genna) Sciarrino, died Wednesday August 9, 2006 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, Mrs Sciarrino attended the Rollins Grammar School, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School “class of 1936”.
She had been employed as an Assembler for 26 years at the Western Electric Co. of North Andover which is known today as Lucent Technologies.
Doris was a longtime communicant at Corpus Christi / Holy Rosary Church of Lawrence, and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
A longtime Lawrence resident, she is the widow of Frank J. Sciarrino. Survivors include one daughter Rosemary Morelle and husband Daniel of Haverhill, one sister Lena Rizzo of Methuen, two granddaughters: Deborah and husband Keith Tharp of Londonderry, and Kristen and husband Jeremy Solemina of Chelmsford, greatgrandchildren, Jordan and Jonathan Dufresne of Londonderry, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning at 10 o’clock in Corpus Christi Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
