Elizabeth D. “Lib” (White) Forbes, 92, of Mansfield died on Saturday August 5, 2006 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C.B. Forbes who died on April 27, 1958.
Born in Mansfield, MA on July 8, 1914 she was a loving daughter of the late Henry L. and Edith (Spaulding) White.
She was educated in Mansfield schools and was a 1932 graduate of Mansfield High School. She went on to graduate from the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston in 1934. Mrs. Forbes was a retired secretary having worked for 33 years at the Foxboro Co. at its Foxboro plant before retiring in 1979.
Lib had attended the Orthodox Congregational Church in Mansfield. She was a member of both the Foxboro Co. 10 & 25 Year Clubs. A lifelong resident of Mansfield her hobbies included painting.
Mrs. Forbes is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services are private with burial to also be held privately at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
