Lothrop of Brockton; Anthony G. of N. Easton, John C. and Thomas J. Springhetti both of E. Bridgewater. Grandfather of Douglas and Amanda Lothrop, Evan, Alexa, Derek, Kes, Kurt and John C. Springhetti. Brother of Doris Murphy of W. Bridgewater; Roberta Robillard and Mary Jane Harkins both of E. Bridgewater.
Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours omitted.
Obituary
Maurice H. “Motty” Springhetti died Monday morning at his home under the care of hospice. He was born in Brockton, a son of the late Joseph and Maria (Latcher) Springhetti. He was a lifelong resident of Brockton and attended Brockton schools.
During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Army stationed in Korea. By trade he had been a plasterer and had worked for Donald Hill Plastering Company for many years. He was a jack of all trades helping many family members. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and his dogs Ginger and Bronson. He also enjoyed camping in Cape Cod and walking with wife in D.W. Fields Park.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Isabelle (Reynolds) Springhetti, a daughter, Teresa L. Lothrop of Brockton, 3 sons, Anthony G. of N. Easton, John C. and Thomas J. Springhetti both of E. Bridgewater, 8 grandchildren, Douglas and Amanda Lothrop Evan, Alexa, Derek, Kes, Kurt and John C. Springhetti, three sisters, Doris Murphy of W. Bridgewater; Roberta Robillard and Mary Jane Harkins both of E. Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews.
