Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton at 11 am. Burial in Milton Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted, please omit flowers. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
Obituary
Mr. Hoy died Tuesday evening after a brief illness. Born in Hull, he was a son of the late James and Helena (Murray) Hoy. Raised in Milton, for many years He was a resident of Chatham, previously living in Milton. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army Air Corps.For many years Mr. Hoy was the Proprietor of Hart Packing Company in Quincy and Milton. He had also worked at Pneumatic Scale in Quincy, Puritan Clothing in Chatham and the Chatham Chamber of Commerce. Past Member of Hull Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Geraldine (Muller) Hoy, 2 daughters Rosemary Geraghty and Leanne Kerrigan, 4 sons James M., Richard G. Jr., Eugene M. and Jonathan M. Hoy and 1 brother Robert L. Hoy 9 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews
He was the father of the late Christopher L. Hoy and brother of the late Marjorie Dolan, J. Murray Hoy, Miriam Kelliher and Virginia Morgan
