Obituary

HALIFAX- Bernard M. Gill, 72, a 10 year resident of Halifax, formerly of Abington & Weymouth, died on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at the Brockton Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Wellfleet, he was a son of the late Bernard F. & Luella (Hatch) Gill.

He was raised in Weymouth, & was a graduate of Weymouth Vocational Technical School.

He worked as a Shop Supervisor at the Buckley Corp. in Rockland for 21 years, retiring in 1985 due to illness.

He served with the U.S. Army from Sept. 1951 till May of 1961, in Korea & Vietnam. He was a Sergeant.

He enjoyed his boat, playing cards, fishing painting woodworking & spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of 50 years of Marcia R. (Ford) Gill. Loving father of Patricia Zemeitus of Carver, Deborah Gill & Nancy Walker, both of Brockton, & Lisa Cousineau of Orleans. Brother of Judith Gill of Wellfleet & the late Robert W. Gill. Also survived by 5 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.

Hif funeral will be held from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, on Tuesday at 9:00Am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church E. Bridgewater at 10:00Am. Burial will be in Central Cemetery East Bridgewater.

Visiting hours are on Monday from 4-7Pm.
