Salem: Cecilia E. (Dube) Sharrock age 86 of Salem, died at home on Sunday, August 6th, surrounded by family and friends, following a lengthy illness, which she fought with courage, dignity and grace. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Sharrock.
Born and raised in Salem she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Celia (Lamonde) Dube. As a young woman, she first worked for the former Beverly Mattress Co. When first married, she and her husband lived
in Portland, Maine for a brief period. She and her husband returned to Salem, and she began working for Sylvania on Loring Ave. and later at the Danvers plant. Cecilia worked for a brief period as a sales clerk for the former J.M. Fields in Vinnin Square. She retired in 1969.
Cecilia was an avid bowler and bowled on several leagues in the greater Salem area. She also entered many of her craft products in prize winning competitions. She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Linda Marton and is survived by her loving granddaughter Doreen Marquis, her dear great-grandchildren: Jeffery Turben and Linda Mercer. She is also survived by family and friends including Luanne Camire, Gloria Jean, Barbara Mansur, Robert Marquis, Richard Marton, David Mercer, Darlene Moscone, Rex Turben, Dolly & Ceil Spiecher, Gladys Gagnon, and a cherished neighborhood.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem on Tuesday at 9 am., followed by her burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Funeral arrangements are by the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem.
