Westport – Jonathan A. Briggs, 39, of Westport, passed away Friday at home unexpectedly.
Born in New Bedford, son of Arthur E. and Edith A. (Armanetti) Briggs, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. A graduate of Westport High School, he was a horticulturist for various nurseries in the area and was a member of the Massachusetts State Nursery Association. Mr. Briggs was an Eagle Scout with Troop #63, Westport and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Including his parents, he is survived by a brother: Paul C. Briggs of Hollywood, FL.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to service from 9 – 11 A.M.
Interment will be private.
