Kenneth G. Grandstaff, 53, of Windham, NH died Thursday August 3, 2006 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Ken was born in Chico, CA on August 31, 1952, a son of Jacqueline R. (Schwein) and the late Greg Grandstaff. Ken had resided in Windham for the past two years, formerly living in Derry and Chico, CA. Ken was the former president of Mesiti Development in N. Andover, MA. Ken was a life member of the NRA and Trout Unlimited and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ken was a loving and most devoted husband and an incredible brother and son. It was most important to Ken to be the best father to his boys. He was an inspiration and role model for his children and family.
Ken is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sharon M. Grandstaff of Windham, three sons, Stoshu Grandstaff, Quintin Grandstaff and Clayton Grandstaff all of Windham, his mother, Jacqueline R. Byrne and her husband Jim E. Byrne of Red Bluff, CA, three sisters, Suanne Brady of Pleasant Hill, CA, Janis Sylvester of Eliot, ME, Nancy Brooks of Chico, CA, his stepdad, William R. Lytle of Yuba City, CA, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, Ken was predeceased by his uncle, William Schwein.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Tuesday August 8, 2006 from 2 – 4pm with a memorial service at 4:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
