Obituary Information
Mr. Williams died Tuesday morning at the Metacom Manor Health Center in Bristol, RI, following a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, son of the late David and Ellen (Coleman) Williams. Before moving to Bristol, RI he had been a resident of Brockton for 65 years, previously residing in East Bridgewater.
He was a retired employee of Forni Oil Company and had previously been employed by Gilmoreās Market and E.C. Hall Company. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army with the 977th Field Artillery Battalion in North Africa and the European Theater. He had been a charter member of the Enterprise Club, and a member of Seville Council Knights of Columbus. While a resident in Campello, he had been a communicant of St. Margaret Church.
He is survived by2 sons, Gerald F. Williams of Anchorage, Alaska and Donald C. Williams of Little Compton, RI1 grandson, Jonathan C.
