Obituary

Ida (Ziskind) Lincoff-Schwartz, of Swampscott and formerly of Revere, died on August 2, 2006 in the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott. She was 88 years old.

Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Harry and Sophie (Bernstein), she was raised in Chelsea where she was educated in the Chelsea Schools and graduated from Chelsea High School. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Lincoff and Dr. Harry Schwartz, she kept a loving home in Revere. Ida was a very active member in the Jewish community, serving as a life member in Temple B’Nai Israel of Revere Sisterhood, Jewish Rehabilitation in Roslindale, and Hadassah.

Ida was the loving mother of Marilyn Alperen and her husband Bobby of Revere, Barbara Ribeck and her husband Ronnie of Swampscott, and Richard Lincoff and his wife Mary of Wakefield. She is the dear sister of the late Paul and Ralph Ziskind and Sarah Poretsky. Ida was also the loving grandmother of Michael, Kevin, Timothy, Kimberlee, Allison, Matthew and the late Stephen. She is also survived by seven adoring great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue (Cary Sq.) CHELSEA on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Rabbi Howard Kosovske will officiate. Burial will take place in the New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Marilyn and Bobby Alperen, Revere, Friday until sundown, Saturday evening starting at 7:00 PM and Sunday.
