Obituary

Robert M. Smith, age 35, of Burlington passed away July 31st unexpectedly. He was the beloved husband of Antonia (Mouzithras). Born in Winchester, he was raised and educated in Burlington, and was the son of David W. and Rosemary (Palmieri) Smith of Burlington.

Robert was a 1988 graduate of Burlington High School and also attended Bunker Hill Community College for one year. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Persian Gulf War participating in operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Upon his release from active duty in the Marine Corps he worked for a number of years doing tree care and tree removal work, eventually owning and operating his own business, The Robert Smith Tree Service Co., for the past six years. Some of his hobbies included motorcycling, ATVs and Jet Skiing. He also enjoyed playing hockey for many years.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert is survived by his step-son Christopher Bahatouris. He is also survived by his sister, Laura (Smith) Temple and her husband Scott of Woburn. He was the loving uncle of Nolan, Alyssa and Sarah Temple. He is further survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Margaret Church 109 Winn St. Burlington at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert´s memory to the charity of your choice.
