Johnny McCagie Hogan, 72, of Sylvester died Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Murray Hand will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 3, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Hogan was born on August 5, 1933 in Lenox (Berrien County) and was the son of the late John William Hogan and Trudy Ostine Hogan of Tifton. He was retired as a tile installer and was of the Holiness faith and a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hogan is survived by his wife, Patsy Lowe Hogan of Sylvester; one son, Don Hogan of Tifton; one step-son, Nathanial Williams of Florida; three daughters, Sharee Harmon of Brookfield, Gena Partain of Tifton and Tawana Geiger of Tifton; one brother, Lamar Hogan of Enigma; two sisters, Eloise Hogan Smith of Albany and Louise Hand of Tifton; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
