Obituary

Elizabeth (Gill) Hanley - Of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury, died in her home July 29th. Born in Brookline, MA, attended Mass College of Art. Layout artist for Gilchrist, Jordan Marsh & Stern's. During World War II was a Club Director for the USO. A portrait and landscape artist, she also worked with an architect to design her own home where she had resided for the last 54 years. Married to the late Robert E. Hanley. Sister to the late Mary Gill, Nora Dailey, Katherine Patten, Gertrude Sterling, Peggy Lannon and Frances Gill. Survived by her children Martin Hanley of Dedham, Sheila Hanley Longval of Westwood, Honora Hanley of Seattle, WA, Roberta Hanley of South Boston, Beth Cunningham of Plainville, MA. Grandchildren include: Colin and Ryan Hanley Longval, Alexis Trione and Michaela and Thomas Cunningham.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday at 8a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Denis' Church, Westwood at 9a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Assoc., 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
