Eldon B. Rosenberger, 73
Retired Elementary Principal

Eldon B. Rosenberger, 73, of Norton formerly of Hingham went home to be with the lord on Tuesday August 1, 2006 in Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Usher) Rosenberger to whom he was wed to on May 26, 1957.
Born in Blooming Glen, Penn. On June 12, 1933 he was a loving son of the late Alvin K. and Maretta (Blough) Rosenberger.
Eldon was educated in Penn. Schools. He received both his B.S. in Elementary Education and his Bachelor of Theology Degree at the Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy. He went on to receive his Masters Degree in Education at Boston University. While attending college Eldon helped with tuition fees by singing in a quartet.
Mr. Rosenberger was a retired Elementary Principal having worked at the Foster School in Hingham for 19 years before retiring. After retirement he began working at the Road Back in Attleboro by helping troubled teenagers.
He was an active member at The Fellowship in Easton. Music was a big part of his life and he was an avid singer for most of his life. He also loved fishing and being around his loving family. Eldon had lived in Norton for the past 4 years and was formerly of Hingham for 25 years.
In addition to his loving wife Betty of over 49 years; he is survived by his devoted children Kevin L. Rosenberger and Kendall L. Rosenberger both of Easton, Kara L. Berkley of Chesterfield, Virginia and Korwin L. Rosenberger of Attleboro; His dear brothers and sisters Dorothea Beyer of Penn., Gerald Rosenberger of New York, Miriam Fox of Penn., Dale Rosenberger of Penn., Joyce Annis of Nevada and Constance Sithens of Penn; His cherished grandchildren Nathaniel, Jonathan, Virginia, Kallie, Thomas, Hannah, Noah and Nicholas. Also survived by his many dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday August 5th at 10:00 A.M. at The Fellowship 604 Foundry St. (Route 106) Easton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday August 4th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
In lieu of flowers Eldon’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Building Fund at The Fellowship 604 Foundry St. Easton, MA 02356
