Obituary

LOWELL—Lillian Dunn-Jacques, 92 years old, died early Sunday morning, July 30th, at the Fairhaven Nursing Home, in Lowell.

She was born in Lowell, on September 18, 1913, a daughter of the late Romulus and Grace (Mercier) Dunn, and was a graduate of Notre Dame de Lourdes Grammar School, and attended Lowell High School.

Mrs. Jacques had been employed as a Shoe Stitcher at various shoe shops in the Lowell area, including Paris Shoe, Carol Shoe, and Simon Shoe. She also worked for Symphonics.

She was a former communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, in Lowell, and held membership in the Senior Citizens and the Ladies Sodality at Notre Dame, and AARP. She also volunteered as a foster grandparent for over 15 years.

Surviving her a brother: Leo Dunn, of Westford; a sister: Dorothy C. Dunn, of Lowell; nieces and nephews: Leonard and Ann Gagnon, of Lowell; Robert and Betty Gagnon, of Lancaster, MA; Elaine Hanscom, of Chelmsford; Marlene and Ronald Pollone, of North Andover; Kevin Dunn, of Las Vegas, NV; Greg Dunn, of Westford; and Russell Dunn, of Dracut; a sister-in-law: Rita Dunn, of Dracut; also many grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was the sister of the late PFC Raymond C. Dunn, US Army, WWII, Edgar Dunn, Hector Dunn, and Jeanette Gagnon.

Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Tuesday morning, August 1st, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to follow at 10 AM at ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donation sin her memory may be made to St. Margaret’s Church Renovation Fund; 374 Stevens Street; Lowell, MA 01851.
