Matthew J. Whyte a resident of Wakefield, died unexpectedly at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was 20 years old.
Matt was born in Melrose on September 13, 1985. He has grown up in Wakefield, where he attended Wakefield Public Schools and graduated from Wakefield High School in 2004. Recently Matt had been working as a laborer with his father's construction company.
Matt is the devoted son of Danny J. and Geraldine (Sullivan) Whyte. He is the loving brother of Daniel J. Whyte of Wakefield. He is the beloved grandson of Jenny Sullivan of Saugus, the late John J. Sullivan, Marian and Harry Whyte. He is the dear friend of Samantha Sardella of Wakefield. Matt is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matt's Funeral will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2006 at 9 am. from The Carr Funeral Home 1159 Main St. Melrose-Wakefield line, followed by his Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Matt will be held on Tuesday August 1, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will take place at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
