Arthur J. “Art” Sweeney, 69, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, July 28, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be private.
Mr. Sweeney was born July 19, 1937 in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Harry and Beulah Sweeney. He was a Site Manager for Ben Hill County. He was a former food service supervisor for Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois and worked in reforestation. He had lived in the community for 15 years.
Mr. Sweeney is survived by a son and daughter in law: Don and Cheryl Sweeney of Clermont, FL; a daughter: Debra Sweeney, also of Clermont; 2 sisters: Maude Lewis and Betty Dismukes, both of California; 2 brothers: Derrick Sweeney and Oliver Sweeney.
