WORCESTER- Richard C. “Dick” Boucher, 77, of 3 Farm Street died Sunday, August 25th in U-Mass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus after an illness. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Shirley T. (Richer) Boucher; 2 sons, Richard P. Boucher of Westboro and James M. Boucher of Hartford, CT; 2 daughters, Jean E. Boucher of Westboro and Susan M. Montiverdi of Worcester; a sister, Hope Dougherty of Holden, ME; 7 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A sister, Vivian Brown predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Louis and Gunhild (Stedt) Boucher. He served with Army during World War 2, and was recommended for the Silver Star. Mr. Boucher was a production manager at Olson Manufacturing for 45 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, the Democratic Committee of Worcester, the Swan Avenue Neighborhood Association and served as past president of the Olson Labor Council and the Olson Credit Union. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards.
The funeral will be Wednesday, August 28th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 93l Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
