Obituary

Elizabeth H. (Bevens) Woodman a 15 year resident of Wakefield and former lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Friday July 28, 2006 at East Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lexington. She was 77 years old.

Elizabeth was born in Boston on October 20, 1928. She grew up in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School. She worked for many years at the cafateria for the Harvard-Kent Elemantary School in Charlestown. She was a member of the City of Boston Cafateria Workers Union.

Elizabeth is the beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Woodman. She is the devoted mother of Cathleen McLaughlin and her husband Alfred of Berlin, Ma.,William "Billy" Woodman and his wife Kathleen of Melrose, John "Jay" Woodman and his wife Anna of Reading. She is the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Lillian Douglas of Revere, Dorothea Giddings of Wilmington and the late Barbara Russo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elizabeth's visiting hours on Monday July 31, 2006 from 3 to 6 pm. in The Carr Funeral Home 1159 Main St. Melrose, followed by her Funeral Service at 6 pm. Cremation will take place on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make memorial donations in Elizabeth's name to Alzheimer's Association 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, Mass. 02140.
