Obituary

CONCORD, NH- Norma Jean (Boulanger) D’Agnese, 77, of Tilton and Concord, NH, formerly of Lauderhill, Florida, Lynn and Peabody, MA, wife of the late Carl D’Agnese, died Sunday morning, August 25, 2002 at Concord Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion A. (Sibley) Boulanger.

She was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School and lived in Lynn, MA during the late 1940's until the mid 1950's, where she was employed as an executive secretary at General Electric Co. Mrs D’Agnese moved to Peabody, and after attending Salem State College during the 1960's, where she received her bachelors and masters degrees and graduated Cum Laude, she taught at the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School until the middle 1980's and was head of the business education department. She then moved to Florida, where she was a professor and assistant department head at Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale until her retirement at the age of 72. For the past several years, Mrs. D’Agnese has resided in both Florida and New Hampshire.

Mrs. D’Agnese was a cub scout leader in Lynn, was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Swampscott a parishioner of the West Congregational Church in Peabody, a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the Council on International Education Exchange and the Republican National Committee.

She is survived by three sons, Carl D’Agnese and his wife Patricia of St. Charles, Missouri, Duane D’Agnese and his wife Sandra of Concord, NH, Cary D'Agnese and his wife Deb of Tilton, NH, eight grandchildren, Amy, Carl Daryn and Gustavo D’Agnese of St. Charles Missouri, Kimberly D’Agnese of Concord, NH, Joshua, Justin, Abbie and Casey D’Agnese of Tilton, NH, one brother, Allen Richardson and his wife Janette of Meredith, NH, one sister, Judy Ann and her husband Earl Thompson of North Berwick, Maine, and one niece, Robin Martel of Meredith, NH.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 11 am at the family lot in Swampscott Cemetery, Essex Street, Swampscott. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 4 to 8 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
