WHITMAN
John A. Marcolini, 72, died Thursday July 27th at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long illness. Husband of Joan (Brennan) Marcolini of Whitman
Born and raised in Hanover, son of the late Astro and Adeline (Parker) Marcolini, he attended Hanover schools.
John was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church Whitman.
He was employed for more than 40 years, by the Stop + Shop Supermarkets and after he retired he worked for Best Chevrolet in Hingham.
John was a veteran of the United States Marine corps during the Korean conflict.
A member of Union Shop Steward of the UFCW Local 328,NRA and Hanson Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife Joan (Brennan) Marcolini of Whitman; three sons, John F. Marcolini of Gold Canyon, AZ., Thomas Marcolini of Hanson, Bill Marcolini of Whitman and his daughter Jean Dunbar of Plymouth ; his three loving grandchildren Kelsey and Corey Marcolini and Cameron Dunbar ;also many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Marcolini.
His funeral will be held Monday July 31, at 9:15 A.M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Ghost Church Whitman. Burial will follow in the Ma VA national Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45PM .Visiting hours Sunday July 30th 4-8.
