LOLA L. (LEWIS) SUMMERS , a Hingham resident since 1951, died on Tuesday, July 25th at the Weymouth Health Care Center. She was 87. Mrs. Summers was born in Murdock, Nebraska and was a 1936 graduate of Eagle Union High School in Eagle, Nebraska. She also attended the Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, Nebraska.
She married and came to the Boston area in 1947 and worked in the personnel department of the General Electric Co. in Lynn. After coming to Hingham, she worked from 1957 to 1959 in the accounting department of the Hingham Light Plant and from 1959 to 1961 at the D.S. Kennedy Radar Co. in Cohasset. From 1963 to 1973, she and her late husband, John T. Summers, Sr. owned and operated their own dry cleaning plant in Natick and lastly was employed by Sweaterville-Greenfields in Hingham on a part time basis.
She is survived by her son, John T. Summers, Jr., M.D. and his wife Katina of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia.
The funeral services and interment are to be private. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request.
