Kenny Marion Willis, 44, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mr. Willis was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Willis' friends served as pallbearers.
Born January 24, 1958, in Tift County, Mr. Willis was the son of Daphne Thacker Willis of Tifton and the late Curtis M. Willis. At one time, he worked at Avondale Millis in Tifton; and he was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Willis is survived by two daughters, Denise Willis and Joy Butler, both of Nashville; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Michelle D. Willis of Tifton; one sister, Cheryl Walker of Tifton; one grandson; and one nephew, Alex Willis.
