Bobby W. Wilson, 58, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Terrell Roberts and the Rev. Bobby Stone officiating. Mr. Wilson was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Ronnie Hand, John Gurley, J. D. Griffin, Glen Hickman, Daniel Musselwhite and Tommy Stone served as pallbearers.
Born May 2, 1943, in Tifton, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Hobert Wilson and Hattie Yates Wilson. Before retiring, he was a fabrication machine operator at Tifton Aluminum Company; and he was a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Collins Wilson of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bruce and Angie Wilson of Blakely and Jeffrey Wilson of Tifton; four brothers, Raymond Wilson of Dublin, Emerson Wilson of Tifton, Wallace Wilson of Omega and Donald Wilson of Norman Park; and six sisters, Emogene Burdett and Doris Casey, both of Ty Ty, Lavern Willis and Virginia Beasley, both of Tifton, Mary Williams of Moultrie and Carolyn Bates of Dawson.
