Patience Hamilton, 92, of Hudson, NH, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in the Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Salem, MA on October 4, 1913, a daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Goldsmith) Cochrane. She was a resident of Hudson for the past several years, formerly living in Needham, MA. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Hamilton enjoyed painting, art and gardening. She was artistic and drew picture books for her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda H. Presley and husband Philip of Londonderry, NH, Susan H. Whittemore and husband Bruce of Manchester, NH; four grandchildren, Susan Spinney, Kristin Radford, David Whittemore, Alison Griffiths; twelve great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Morton Hamilton in 1980.
There were no calling hours. Following cremation, graveside services were held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 11:00am in the Glenwood Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 66 Hanover St., Suite 101, Manchester, NH 03101. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
