Annie Lou Willis Smith, 93, of Tifton passed away Friday, June 7, 2002, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. W. Ches Smith III, the Rev. Buddy Smith and the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Smith was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Jack Tucker, Joey Hampton, Quinn Baldree, Danny Botton, Johnny Tucker and Russell Baker served as pallbearers.
Born August 19, 1908, in Tift County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late John Risby Willis and Rebecca Jane Fillyaw Willis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. "Jake" Smith; one son, J. C. "Jimmy" Smith; one daughter, Janie Parker; one brother; and five sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church since 1943. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary-Eastern Star; and she was a lifelong resident of Tift County.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter and two sons-in-law, Grace and Jimmy Tucker and Robert Parker; five grandchildren, Jim Parker, Jack Tucker, Debbie Hampton, Bobbie Baldree and Bonnie parker; and eight great-grandchildren, Quinn Baldree, Derrick Baldree, Kelli Kent, Sarah Hampton, Ashley Parker, Mandy Parker, Jessice Parker and Hunter Parker.
