Norman C. Phillips, 71, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Sunday, July 23, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 26, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Chris Phillips speaking. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 258 W Wieuca Rd NE, in Atlanta.
Mr. Phillips was born July 16, 1935, in Calhoun County, Alabama, to the late John R. and Bertie Conner Phillips. He lived in Atlanta for the past 26 years, where he retired as an apartment complex maintenance manager. Mr. Phillips was a Jehovah’s Witness.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 42 years: June Harper Phillips of Atlanta; sisters: Mary Joyce Hudgins and Hazel P. Ogle, both of Calhoun County, AL; brothers: Billy Phillips of Smyrna, Ernest Phillips of Stone Mountain, Nathan Phillips of Lake Lanier and Johnny Phillips of Sylacauga, AL. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Olivia Fezzell.
