Fall River – John Costa, 82, of Fall River, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the former husband of Dolinda (Goveia) Costa and husband of the late Paulette (Ponsot) Costa.
Born in Taunton, son of the late Manuel and Mary (Souis) Costa, he had lived most of his life in the Westport/Fall River area. Mr. Costa served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator of the former John Costa’s Auto Body Repair of Westport.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Gale Medeiros of Fall River and Colleen McIntire of Mattapoisett; a brother: Francis Costa; a sister: Marie Costa; 4 grandchildren; and 1 godchild.
A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
