Elizabeth Mullis "Margie" Doles, 76, of Tifton, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Fred Evers and Rev. Brian Doles will officate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob Stalvey, Scott Cook, Tommy Mullis, Wayne Mullis, Gary Bishop and Junior Wood. Members of the Grace Woody Sunday School Class at Northside Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Doles was born on September 2, 1929 in Tift County and was the daughter of Joel Mullis and Eliza Marchant Mullis, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Doles. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Ms. Doles is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Marie Doles of Tifton and Joel and Joy Doles of Tifton; two daughters, Jane Coleman of Tifton and Fran Doles of Tifton; two sisters, Mary Marchant of Forsyth and Ethelle Trella of Saddlebrook, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Brian Doles, Betsy Coleman, Jennifer Doles, Cathy Cook and her husband, Scott; and one great grandchild, Caitlin Cook.
