Angeanette M. (Fusaro) Cini, 82, of Orchard Ln, Mystic, passed away Sunday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cini was born in Westerly on April 5, 1924 one of seven children to Natale and Mary (Ferraro) Fusaro. Raised in Westerly, she was a 1942 graduate of Westerly High School. In her early years, she was employed as a waitress at the former Ancient Mariner. After her retirement, she was a homemaker.
She was married to Ezio Louis Cini in Westerly on September 29, 1951. They were to have celebrated 55 years of marriage together this fall.
A longtime resident of Mystic, Mrs. Cini will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love and devotion to her husband. An avid flower gardener, she was a member of the Mystic Garden Club, and the Groton Lodge of Elks. She also enjoyed sewing, spending time with her cats and training her parakeets to speak.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Brian Cini, Debra Peiffer, Lauren Davis, Roberta Scroggins, Jannina Wagner, and Christina McLaughlin; grandnieces and nephews including Jaqi Collins and her husband Kenneth and their children Tony, Casi, and Joey; and many close friends including John Allen of Mystic. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carl Fusaro, Clifford Fusaro, James Fusaro Sr., George “Fuzzy” Fusaro, Albert Fusaro, and Eleanor Aycock, and a niece Marilyn “Patsy” Bircumshaw.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 10-11am. A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly at 11:30am.
