Jennie Ann Levine, (formerly Tobin) 83, of Chelsea, after a lengthy illness departed this world on July 23, 2006 , for eternal life with her Creator in His perfect realm. Daughter of the late Nathan & Zylata Tobin & sister of the late Aaron, Frank, & Louis Tobin, she was a lifelong resident of Chelsea, she graduated CHS in 1941, was a civilian employee of the U. S. Navy during WWII, married Albert Carl Levine on Dec. 11, 1948 and raised three children. She enjoyed peace and quiet whenever she could find it. She treasured trips to beaches, state parks, and flea markets. She had especially fond memories of her 1996 trip to Durango, Colorado for Thanksgiving with family. Mrs. Levine was an extremely compassionate person who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone or anything in need. She was especially kind to stray animals, feeding and caring for them when they were in need. She was a substitute teacher in Chelsea for a number of years, and was also very involved in the annual planting of flowers around Chelsea City Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and three brothers. She is survived by her son Marvin Levine, daughter Marilyn Levine, and daughter Nancy Zehr, and grandson Brandon Zehr. She will be greatly missed by all who appreciated her patience, compassion and self-sacrifice.
