Helena DeMarco, 83 of Medford, died Friday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center Medford.
Born in Boston, she lived in Medford since 1981 and formerly of the North End of Boston. Helena was the daughter of the late Maria (Cristiano) and Joseph DeMarco. Helena was the former owner of Salon d´Helena in Wellesley for 5 years. She also was a waitress at the Pizzeria Regina in the North End of Boston for many years.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Kennedy. Devoted mother of Barbara Kennedy of Medford. Loving grandmother of Helena, Michael, Patrick McCoy, and Cristina D. Gizzi. Loving great grandmother of Amanda Lindberg and Victoria Gizzi-Diaz. Sister of the late Gene, Mario, Joseph, Fiore, William and Michael DeMarco.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, July 24 Monday at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10-11 AM.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
