Sallie Mae Fogarty Heath, 87, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2002, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. James Tyson officiating. Ms. Heath was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Jason Culpepper, Robbie Walters, Floyd Griffin, Freddie Langdale, Robbie Pritchard and Norris Willis served as pallbearers.
Born March 3, 1915, in Abbeville, Ms. Heath was the daughter of the late A. J. Fogarty and Maude McCannon Fogarty. She was also preceded in death by one son; two daughters; one grandson; five brothers; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Barnes Chapel in Enigma.
Ms. Heath is survived by two daughters, Mary Alice White of Enigma and Shirley Marie Hickman of Tifton; two sisters, Carrie Mae Walker of Tifton and Virginia Yancey of West Virginia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
