Bobby Wayne Hill, 50, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2002, at his residence. A memorial service was held for Bobby at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2002, at Tifton's First United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Beasley and the Rev. Tony Crawley officiating. Bobby was laid to rest at a later date.
Born January 4, 1951, in Tift County, Bobby was the son of Kathleen "Ketty" Self Hill of Chula and the late Charlie Ross Hill, who passed away in 1985. He was also preceded in death by his wife, La Joyce "Joy" Carmichael Hill, who passed away on September 10, 2002, as well; and one brother, Ross Hill. He was co-owner of J&B Power Equipment in Tifton; and he was a member of Chula United Methodist Church.
Bobby is survived by one half-brother, Roscoe Hill of Marietta; three half-sisters, Virginia Itasco Marchant of Newberry, Florida, Lilliam Paulk of Orlando, Florida and Betty Paulk of Tampa, Florida; and two nephews and their wives, Josh Hill of Kentucky and Jeremy and Keri Hill of Tifton.
