Obituary Information
Daniel M. Donovan died Thursday at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton he was a son of the late John C. and Mary (Dermody) Donovan. He attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1962. Following high school he enlisted in the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam era. Upon his discharge from the Air Force he moved to San Francisco and had been employed as a Purchasing Agent for various companies as well as the San Francisco VA Medical Center, from which he retired last September. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and was an avid reader. Daniel had been a member of the American Veterans and Disabled American Veterans Associations.
He is survived by one sister Patricia M. Poliseno of Brockton, one brother Brendan T. Donovan and his wife Elizabeth F. of Milton, his sister in law Maureen P. Donovan of Brockton, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late John T. Donovan.
