Mary Bryant Hamm, 78, of Tifton passed away Friday, January 11, 2002, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2002, at Tift Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley and the Rev. Billy Dawson officiating. Mrs. Hamm was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.
Larry Luke, Mike Luke, Bryan Stephenson, Steve Luke, Anthony Barnes, Bob Luke and Danny Purvis served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the 55 Plus Club at Tift Avenue Church of God.
Born July 21, 1923, in Brinson, Mrs. Hamm was the daughter of the late Joseph William Bryant and Leo Doss Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, S. B. Hatfield; her second husband, Morgan Luke; her third husband, Aubrey Lee Hamm; one brother; and two sisters. She was a retired nurse and served 20 years at Tift Regional Medical Center; and she was a member of Tift Avenue Church of God.
Mrs. Hamm is survived by two sons, Reggie Hatfield of Tifton and Dennis Luke of Lakeland; four daughters, Pam Gaskins of Alapaha, Lisa Easterling of Tampa, Florida, Linda Haynes of Dallas, Texas and Lynn Prasse; two brothers, the Rev. Henry Bryant and Mack Bryant, both of Tifton; two grandchildren, Pamela Hurst and Soni Harper; and three great-grandchildren, Seth Cason, Ashton Harper and Audrey Harper.
