Worcester: Michael J. Rist, 62 passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in UMASS
Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He leaves a daughter Kendall C. Rist
who he loved very much. He also leaves behind siblings Robert (Bob) Rist Jr and Paul Chaves.
Michael was born in Lompoc, California, son of the late Robert and Katherine
(Akoniville) Rist Sr. He grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma and worked in the automobile
industry. The automobile industry is what brought him to Massachusetts over 25 years ago. He loved watching college football especially this favorite team, the OU Sooners. His dream job was to be a sports announcer. He loved all things related to history and loved to travel when he was able.
