Conn. – Justin L. Moniz, age 23, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in Conn. . He was the son of Marie E. (Gilmete) Lopes of New Bedford and Gary Moniz also of New Bedford. He was the brother of Amanda Moniz and uncle of Jae-lyn Rodriquez both of New Bedford, stepson of John Lopes and stepson of Claudia Moniz, Maternal Grandson of Henry and Clara (Gomes) Da Silva of New Bedford and Paternal Grandson of the late Louis and Viola Moniz. He was also the companion of Ashley Hickman and their unborn child.
Mr. Moniz was employed at Kart Kare and was in Conneticut working when taken ill.
Mr. Moniz’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Monday at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 A.M. Burial at St. John Cemetery.
