Obituary

Henry R. Rudnicki, 87, of Medway, died peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Loretta R. (Piascik) Rudnicki since 1959.

Born in Poland on October 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Antoni and Genevieve (Los) Rudnicki.

Henry grew up in Poland and Germany and then immigrated with his family to the United States in 1951, residing in South Boston until moving to Medway in 1959.

He proudly served in the US Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War.

Henry worked at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue for 38 years, retiring as the manager of computer operations at the age of 60.

Henry enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, taking care of his home and yard, and always loved dancing with his wife, daughter and granddaughters. Henry loved playing cards and travelling with his wife. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by his daughter Deanna Martinis and her husband Don of Bellingham and his son John Rudnicki and his wife Tara of Franklin.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kyle Martinis and his wife Michelle of Plymouth, Kristin MacDonald and her husband Brennan of Uxbridge, Connor Rudnicki and his wife Sydney of New Orleans, LA, Kevin Martinis and his wife Alexandra of Dedham, Caitlin Flood and her husband Michael of Westboro, and Kayla Martinis of Bellingham, and five great-grandchildren, Austin, Miles, Peyton, Logan and Lyla.

Henry was the brother of the late Joseph Rudnicki.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street in Medway. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 14 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
