PELHAM, NH—Gary A. Willman, 55 years old, a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Viet Nam War, and longtime resident of Pelham, died unexpectedly of a massive coronary, Wednesday morning, July 19th, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Joanne ‘Jody’ Willman, to whom he was married for over 25 years.
He was born in Lowell, on May 12, 1951, a son of Gloria (Buchanan) (Willman) Chamberlain, of West Barnet, VT; and the late Arthur Willman, formerly of Lowell. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1969.
Mr. Willman was the owner of the Getty Gas Station, in Pelham for the past several years, as well as working as an estimator for Thompson’s Roofing Company. Previously, he had been employed for over 20 years by the Belmont Springs Water Company. He was an avid golfer and held membership in the VFW, Post #10722, and the American Legion, Post #100, both in Pelham, NH.
Surviving him besides his wife and mother are two daughters: Ashley E. Willman, of Pelham, NH; and Cortney L. Spurger, of Plano, TX; a brother and sister-in-law: Scott and Jane Willman, of Barnet, VT; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 23rd, from 3 to 7 PM, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service to be held Monday, July 24th, at 10 AM at ST. KATHRYN PARISH, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. THERE WILL BE NO PROCESSION FROM THE FUNERAL HOME TO THE CHURCH. Mercy meal to follow in parish hall.
