John (Cal) T. Callahan Jr., a longtime resident of Tewksbury, has passed away on May 31st at Lowell General Hospital at the age of 66.
John was born in Boston, MA on October 30th 1957. He spent the first eight years of his life living in Dorchester before moving to Tewksbury in 1965.
Upon graduating from Tewksbury Memorial High School, John started a career as a Concrete Laborer joining the Local 88 Union and bringing his expertise to multiple different Concrete Form/Foundations companies throughout his life.
Outside of work, you could find John enjoying his day fishing at Silver Lake or wrapped up in a classic war novel, unless it was a Sunday during football season where he'd be glued to the tv rooting on the New England Patriots.
John was very well known and loved throughout his community; he will be severely missed.
John is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dotty A. Callahan. His three children, Leo A. Callahan, John T. Callahan III, and Katie A. Callahan. His Grandson Ian and Granddaughter Harleigh. His six sisters, Barbara, Joan, Patricia, Theresa, Elaine, & Mary; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. John is predeceased by his sister Mary & late wife Suzanne.
A Celebration Of Life will be held for John T. Callahan Jr. on Sunday, June 16th, From 1-5 p.m. at The Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury. Donations in John's memory may be made to his GoFundMe
