Mrs. Margaret M. MacMillan, age 92, died Wednesday morning, July 19, 2006 in Medford at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Italy, Margaret has been a Medford resident since 1948, previously of the West End of Boston. She was the devoted daughter of the late Concetta (Caramanio) & Sebastiano DiStefano.
Margaret worked for many years as a stitcher in and around the city of Boston. A member of the ladies garment union, Margaret has been retired for over 20 years.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late James W. MacMillan. Loving sister of Frances DiStefano of Medford and the late John, Salvatore, Carmela, Rose and Guy DiStefano. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have respectfully been omitted. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Margaret´s name to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Rd., Malden, MA 02148.
