Mrs. Theresa M. (Schiappa) Brunelli 92, of Woonsocket, RI., and a former longtime Franklin resident died Monday July 17, 2006 at Mt. St. Francis House in Woonsocket, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Louis J. Brunelli , who died in 1991.
Born in Abruzzi, Italy December 31, 1913 a daughter of the late Sebastiano and Anna (Antonio) Schiappa, she lived in Franklin since 1939 until moving to Woonsocket several years ago.
Until her retirement in 1979, she worked for more than 25 years in the cafeteria at Dean College in Franklin.
She was a member of the Quattro Eroi Lodge #1414 Sons of Italy in Franklin, The Franklin Senior Citizens, The American Association of Retired Persons and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin and was a longtime member of the church’s Legion of Mary.
She is survived by a daughter Carol Bacon of Woonsocket, and two grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Sylvia Mancinelli and Mary Scanzaroli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday July 22, 2006 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral; Home 33 Cottage St. with a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
