Janet Pearman Hayman, 84, of Tifton passed away Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in Tifton. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. Mrs. Hayman was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Hayman's grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born March 3, 1918, in Tift County, Mrs. Hayman was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Pearman and Bertha Walters Pearman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Hayman, who passed away in 1997. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany. She was also a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary with over 1,000 service hours with Tift General Hospital.
Mrs. Hayman is survived by two sons, Morris Hayman of Eatonton and Larry Hayman of Forsyth; three daughters, Carole H. Oakes of Albany, Vivian Johnson of Douglas and Lynda Sink of Eatonton; two sisters, Ruth Marchant of Jacksonville, Florida and Cleo Ray of Tifton; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
