Patricia Durley Garren, 62, of Tifton passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Freddie Thomas officiating. Mrs. Garren was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Rusty Garren, Tommy Garren, Kenneth Garren, Robert Avera, Jesse McMillan, Jr., and Gary Soles served as pallbearers.
Born June 22, 1940, in Tifton, Mrs. Garren was the daughter of Essie Wilcox Durley of Tifton and the late George Thomas Durley. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in Tifton.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Garren is survived by her husband, George S. Garren of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, James Lamar and Lee Garren and George Leon Garren, all of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie "Missy" and Albert Hill, Jr. of Tifton; one sister, Jewell Haas of Tifton; five grandchildren, Leon Garren, Jr., Buck Garren, Waylon Garren, P'Nut Garren and Thomas Garren; and four great-grandchildren.
