Obituary

James Thomas Graham, 78, of Tifton, formerly of Ocilla, passed away Friday, February 22, 2002, at Tift Health Care. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Anthony Dean officiating. Mr. Graham was laid to rest at Lawrence Cemetery.

Larry Busbin, Rex Busbin, Ricky Harris, Kent Parrish, Tim Busbin and Kent McKenny served as pallbearers.

Born July 20, 1923, in Tift County, Mr. Graham was the son of the late James Albert Graham and Mire Elizabeth Roberts Graham. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Grace Harris Graham; one daughter; one sister; and one grandson. Before retiring, he worked on the road maintenance crew with the Georgia Department of Transportation; and he was of the Baptist and a former deacon of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Mr. Graham is survived by two daughters, Shirley Busbin of Ocilla and Gail Parkerson of Eldorado; one brother, Gene Graham of Tifton; three sisters, Francis Wishum of Tifton, Joyce Allen of Thomasville and Doris Tucker of Lakeland, Florida; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
